April is Head and Neck Cancer Awarness Month

April is #headandneckcancer awareness month. Major risk factors include alcohol consumption and smoking. According to the American Association of Cancer Research consumption of preserved and salted foods, radiation exposure, poor oral hygiene, missing teeth, occupational exposure, (synthetic fibers, asbestos and wood dust) Asian ancestry and Epstein-Barr virus are also risk factors. It is more common among men than women and in people over 50.
