#NationalNutrtionMonth Tip# 11 Stick to Your Goals When Ordering Out


You can eat out and stick to your healthy eating plan! The key is to plan ahead, ask questions and choose foods carefully. Compare nutrition information, if available, and look for healthier options that are grilled, baked, broiled or steamed. Opt for brown rice/whole grain options. Ask for sauce or dressings on the side to control portions. Order additional sides to get your veggies in. (My experience is that Chipotle will add extra peppers, onions and black beans for free!)

Be mindful that any time you eat away from home there may be added salt, sugar and fat.
